Vietnam is a country of Buddha and Confusius. Not so long ago, Christmas was only celebrated by the Christians and by the comparatively few western foreigners in the country. Meanwhile, Christmas has become a big event in the bigger cities. Basically, it is very commercial. The least Vietnamese know the actuel meaning of Christmas.
There is not a trace of the tranquillity and peacefulness of Christmas Eve in the city of Ho Chi Minh. On the evening of the 24.12 the streets are congested with people and their motorbikes, who want to celebrate Christmas together.
